Sanjay Pingle, President

Sanjay Pingle is President of Physicians Interactive Holdings and has oversight of the combined Pharma and eCommerce business.

Prior to joining PI, Mr. Pingle was Co-founder and Executive Vice President of Medsite, the biotechnology and pharmaceutical marketing firm named a market leader by Forrester, Jupiter Research and Frost & Sullivan. Mr. Pingle was part of the team that led and negotiated Medsite's sale in 2006 to WebMD. He then went on to serve as WebMD's Vice President of Sales, where he was responsible for driving sales growth and for the integration of Medsite teams.

Mr. Pingle most recently was the co-founder and director of Terasol Energy, a renewable energy business focused on seed technology in Brazil. He serves on the board of directors of KFI, a non-profit organization dedicated to international education, and the Vedanta Cultural Foundation. Mr. Pingle was a recipient of the World Business Forum Entrepreneurship award in 2004.

Mr. Pingle earned a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Kartik Shah, Chief Technology Officer

Kartik is the Chief Technology Officer for Physicians Interactive Holdings LLC and a founding partner of Skyscape. He brings more than 20 years experience in cutting-edge technology development to Physicians Interactive Holdings’ technology initiatives. His demonstrated leadership ability and deep technical expertise in mobile, wireless, databases, and the Internet naturally position him to lead the Physicians Interactive Holdings’ Web and mobile development.

Before joining Skyscape, Mr.Shah served at Cornerstone Software (CSI) as Vice President of Software Development. In that role, he was a key player in the development and deployment of the company’s key middleware software products. As a consulting engineer, Mr. Shah helped develop key software solutions for several major CSI clients.

Mr. Shah earned his M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute (VJTI), Bombay, and has completed advanced management courses offered by the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.

Jaap Vermeulen, Senior Vice President, Technology & Development

With more than 23 years of experience in software engineering, Jaap has been instrumental in the development of Skyscape software technology. A member of the Skyscape team since its earliest days, Jaap has brought his extensive knowledge of software architecture and design to bear for Skyscape's products.

Jaap previously worked for Hitachi Computer Products, Informix Software, and Sequent Computer Systems. He worked on a variety of products, including a backup manager, a Java application server, a CORBA performance framework, and a systems management framework.

A graduate of the Hogeschool Oost Nederland Institute of Technology in The Netherlands, Jaap earned a B.S. in Computer Science. He did his thesis work at the National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Marlene Galante, General Manager

Marlene Galante is currently the General Manager of the Skyscape Academic Centers and Associations business unit, focusing on revenue delivery and customer expansion of our mobile reference products & solutions for nursing students and professional associations worldwide. Prior to this assignment, over her last 10 years on the Executive Team at PIH, Ms. Galante has held positions in the Physicians Interactive Unit as Senior Vice President, leading at various junctures the teams of Sales, Account Management, Client Services & Production. With over 35 years of significant experience as a pharmaceutical and healthcare information management executive, Ms. Galante brought her industry background to Allscripts Physicians Interactive in 2000 and has been instrumental in the organic growth of the business and its expansion by acquisition.

Once named by her management as the “heart and soul of the organization,” Ms. Galante has been instrumental in building and nurturing the team of committed and customer focused professionals that make PIH what it is today, having grown from a handful of 8 entrepreneurial employees inside of a minor division of a public company ten years ago, to today’s roster inside of a private equity venture of over 225 committed experts in three companies located on two continents.

Ms. Galante is an seasoned team leader and healthcare marketing professional, having also served the pharmaceutical, chemical, and managed care industries in a variety of capacities for over three decades. Prior to joining PI, Ms. Galante held operations, drug information and regulatory management positions as an employee and contract consultant for several top pharmaceutical and healthcare service companies including: Searle Pharmaceuticals, the American Hospital Supply Corporation, Baxter Healthcare, E.I. DuPont de Nemours, Knoll (Boots) Pharmaceuticals, Coram Healthcare and Creative Business Technologies. She also continues as owner/operator of Information Assets, an independent consulting venture to the pharmaceutical industry, which she founded in 1991.

Ms. Galante degrees include a MasterÂ’s of Science in Molecular Genetics, a Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences, and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, each from the University of Illinois. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Management from the American Management Association and has been acknowledged by a number of national organizations, including WhoÂ’s Who among notable women in management, information technology, and consulting. She is married with three adult children and enjoys cycling, gardening gourmet cooking and worldwide travel.
